I’m Back!

I know I have been gone for quite awhile but it was due to surgery on my right hand. Do you know how hard it is to type with the pecking style? I was taught on an huge electric typewriter with no letters on the keys, so this causes problems for me when I can only type with a finger. This means I have to look at the keys because I am not sure where the letters are when I have to do it that way. Anyway I got my cast off and am supposed to start working my hand and wrist. What better way to do that than to blog!

Well if I haven’t said anything we are moving to York, Pennsylvania with my daughter, Heather, and her family. Heather got a great job down there and is taking us with them because we help with the twins or is it because they sold our house? Either way we get to go.

So I have been busy packing. I tried to get most of it done before my hand surgery but didn’t get the kitchen done. Packing with one hand and not being allowed to pick up anything with my right hand was very trying but it is done. Of course, I couldn’t have done it without my great hubby, David. We purged a lot. I got rid of tons of my crafting supplies and David books and vinyls. I was so proud of us. We got all our clothes into our dressers which we are taking, so we have been living out of suitcases for a few weeks.

Saturday I went out to Heather’s to run the garage sale, since that was something I could do one handed. While I was there they came and got all our stuff to move out to their place to pack the 32 foot trailer that we are moving in.

Now we are camping in our house with two camp chairs and a blow up mattress like we did at my parents earlier this year. This time though we do have a fridge and internet.

Not that I can type again I will be keeping everyone posted on the move. We are driving down with a caravan. There will be 4 cars going 3 of which will be towing something. We are the lucky ones that will not be towing anything, so we get to shoot ahead or make short side trips. It will be easy to catch up because everyone else will be going slow. We are planning on taking 2 weeks to get there. We are trying to give the 20 month old toddlers some play time and rest time.
