David and I always have enjoyed going to the movies. Now with Covid-19 the movie theaters are closed we have started streaming. Amazon Prime Video is letting you rent or buy theater movies. We were excited about this.
After I rented several movies which you have a month before you start to watch them. Once you have started watching them you have 48 hours to watch all of it.
Every night David and I take turns picking a movie. I picked Downton Abbey. I was not sure if David would like it but he was very impressed. I have enjoyed the TV series.
Downton Abbey is the story of the Crawleys and their staff as they prepared for the royal visit from the King and Queen.
It was superb in every respect. Writing was excellent with great lines from different characters. The costuming and sets were great. You should check out all the hats. The cinematography was excellent. We enjoyed the story and highly recommend this movie.
The second night after I rented movies it was David’s pick. He picked Midway.
This was a story of the Battle of Midway as told through the experiences of WWII soldiers and leaders. We have seen numerous movies about Midway. This was best movie about the Battle of Midway we have ever seen. It told the stories about real people involved. At the end of the movie it told what happened to all the people that were followed. We highly recommend this. While your kids are at home it would be a good one to watch for a history lesson.

I picked Waiting for Anya. I had never heard of it before but it was from the author of War Horse. I have seen that movie several times and really enjoyed it, so thought I would give this a try. I was not let down.
This is a story about a young shepherd boy who helps smuggle Jewish children over the Pyrenees and helps to feed them in German occupied France. It was such a heartwarming story. The scenery was beautiful. The story was good and the characters were engaging. This is well worth seeing.
If you have seen any of these movies let me know what you thought. If you haven’t follow the links and rent them. Be sure to let me know what you thought when you watch it.
Be safe out there!
Thanks for stopping by.
