We had our first backyard party in our new house due to Covid-19. It was not a big party. Our daughter, her husband and their twin daughters and our friends we met in our neighborhood, which consist of Christina and her 8 year old daughter, Maria.
It was a beautiful day in York, Pennsylvania. We spent the day in the backyard watching the girls play.
Maria has been giving the girls toys she has outgrown like the little tyke car and trailer.
The girls were excited when they saw the car.
But then they saw the playhouse that Maria gave them.
We all laughed so much watching the girls play with their car and house.
Then they decided it was time to going swimming in their pool.
They even had to get Mommy in for a play in the pool.
The girls had to show Mommy how to play Ring Around the Rosy.
Then the girls wanted to play on the Whee, which means slide, that is in our neighbors front yard.
Bekka was not impressed when she went down the slide into a puddle of water on the bottom part of the slide. It was a little too hot for them so we decided to postpone sliding and go on a walk before nap time.
All of us adults stayed outside until we knew the little girls were napping.
We played Wizard, a card game, while the girls napped.
I am not sure how much sleep the girls got because we were all laughing so hard. Maria had to keep reminding us that they were sleeping. We had a great time playing this game and if you have never tried you should. Let me know if you like it.
The girls wanted to go back outside when they got up.
Maria even read them a book.
We took the girls out after dinner to play on the slide while everyone packed up.
The girls were a lot happier this time playing on the slide. It was not hot and the water was gone.
A great time was had by all while staying safe.

We are starting to babysit once a week. We will have them on Wednesday until Daddy gets busy then we will start having them twice a week. The weather here has been milder than usual this summer is what I am told. I can tell you 80 in Alaska is really hot. Here it doesn’t feel as hot. It is the muggy days that are the worse I think. Of course, growing up in south TX I know what muggy is like. We are lucky because of the we usually have a nice breeze which will blow right through our house. We are turning our air on more for the muggy days than the heat. PS – It was more for people to see where I get stuff but I guess I should put a disclaimer us for incase. Thanks for the tip.
