Well I have been busy crafting and making Christmas presents.  Last year everyone got home made presents.  They all thought it was cool so I am making them again this year.  I won’t post any here because my family might see it.  I will post later what I have made.

I have been making some stuff for my Etsy store though.

Keeping Busy

Well I have been doing all kind of things around the house to keep busy. We have been having some nice weather, so David and I took advantage of it. David takes very good care of the lawn. We have found one big difference is that it needs to be mowed once a week. In Alaska it was every two weeks to a month depending on the rain. I have been working in the flower bed and trying to put a garden in. It is a lot of fun planting all the different flowers and there are so many more things I can grow in the garden here.

Building a Birdhouse

I joined this kit of the month club from Annie’s Kit Clubs.

https://www.annieskitclubs.com/

I had already finish a crocheted afghan block of the month club. You got 3 blocks a month to crochet. Everything is included each month. It was a lot of fun learning new stitches and remembering ones I have used before.

I decided I would try the Quilting one. I have got several months worth but when I am sewing I am making masks. I only did the first one which was purses I made for the girls birthdays.

Then they offered the Creative Woman’s Kit of the Month club. The first thing I got was everything to build a birdhouse. I take it back, it didn’t have the glue but everything else was there including the paint.

Mad Hatter

Heather got the girls these cute little hat hair clips at the Christmas market. Bekka just really loved hers and wore it all the time.

I am thinking I can make this. Heather decides the girls should have one for every holiday. I give it a try and this is what I came up with.

Bekka was my little model once again.

Heather says, “Mom, you should make these and sell them.” So I made these.

They are made out of some felt, a little batting and some decorations. They have a hairclip on the bottom to put it in your hair.

I think I will get some more varieties of hat clips made and then see if I can sell them. What should I ask for them? Let me know what you think int he comments.
