My husband, David, told me that he was taking me out last night. He said we were going to dinner and movie. He also said it was a milestone we were celebrating. Now he had me wracking my brain for a milestone in our relationship. Continue reading “1000 Days”
I know it has been a while since I have posted. I still haven’t got the Christmas photos taken care of so I can post them. Four of the five kids were here for Christmas with their families. We had 15 stockings hanging from the mantle. We went to my daughter’s house Christmas day where there was another 7 people because her in-laws came up and her brother-in-law flew in from New York. Anyway more about this next time.
We had a ladies night out with my two daughters and Heather’s mother in law. We went to a Paint Nite. It was so much fun. Check it out here https://www.paintnite.com/. I had never painted a picture in my life, but with a few mimosa’s under my belt I got started.
We all had a great time. Has anybody else done this? Let me know how you liked it.
Are you going crazy trying to get ready for Christmas? I know I am. This will be the first year since the kids all left home that we are all going to be together, well except for the oldest. That makes 4 children, 2 son in laws, 1 daughter in law, 2 grandsons, 6 granddaughters, my oldest daughter’s in laws and her brother in law and my oldest grandson’s girlfriend. I believe that comes to 19. What a wonderful Christmas we will have, but getting ready is the hard part. Continue reading “Christmas Craziness!”
Saturday night I went to my first women’s roller derby. It was a lot of fun but not as rough as I remember watching on TV when I was a kid. We had free tickets because Midnight Sun Brewing brewed a beer for them and David helps with the tour there every Thursday night. Anyway I hope you enjoy the photos.
Have you ever been to a roller derby? Let me know by leaving and answer in the comments.

I have been waiting for this storm that was supposed to hit last night. Three inches of snow they said and I am still waiting 24 hours later. We still don’t have any snow and it is warming up. I can say though the sunset was beautiful.
These are all taken off my back deck.
It is 37 degrees, 5:30 at night and dark that is Alaska for you. It is so much warmer than I can remember in a long time.
I know that you probably get tired of looking at photos of my beautiful granddaughters but here I go again. Oh yea, all my kids, well except the oldest, will be home for Christmas that means photos of more grandchildren so look out.
This was the girls first Halloween. I had to go out to the kids house to babysit, so Heather decided I should stay to take the girls out for their first Halloween. They are getting so big.
While babysitting the girls showed me how good they can make their bouncers go.
Before costumes Grandma decided to give them their first bath in the big tub. They really enjoyed this.
I have been making Highbush Cranberry Apple Butter when we are lucky and have the berries. We managed to get quite a few this year and I had people asking for it. I pulled out the recipe and started making it. It was so full of sugar and couldn’t believe it. I thought why can’t I make this Keto friendly. Continue reading “Altering Recipes”
