Just wanted to let everyone know that I am having hand surgery tomorrow on my left hand. It could be up to 3 months before I am totally recovered. I had it done on my right hand before we left Alaska. Anyway the point I am getting to is that I will try to post from time to time while recovering but I am not very good at pecking the keyboard. I learned to type on a electric typewriter with no letters or numbers on the keyboard. I really appreciate this because I can carry on a conversation, watch tv or type whatever without ever looking at my fingers. The bad think is that if I have to hunt and pick I have no idea where the letters are. My fingers just play the keyboard like a piano.
I can still process the photos I have taken lately for the blog, so that is a good thing. I bet if I asked really nice I might to even get my loving husband/proofreader to type for me. Or maybe I need to check into one of the programs where it types for you. Now that might be fun to try. I bet it would be a laugh to see what words it comes up with. I believe I might go research that right now.
Well life does still go one even with Covid-19. The yard still has to be mowed. I mentioned in my last blog that we had to buy a lawnmower. We had a beautiful day, so it was time for David to get out and mow the yard which was getting a little deep in places.
Sorry I am a week late writing my blog. The hotel we stayed in last I couldn’t get online to post this blog and then we had no internet in the new house. So here is the post from Saturday to continue our last leg of our journey.
We left our hotel at 8:30 with 194 miles to go. Hoping to see our new home around noon.
I was at the chiropractor today and was talking to Jen. She asked if I had read what you commented on my post yesterday. I told her I hadn’t because I had not been online all day. I was trying complete something I had started. I was trying not to go round and round. So Jen and I are talking and she is telling me get a notebook and write down everything you want to do in that day. As you mark things off you don’t look at what you didn’t get done but what you did. You start really feeling good about yourself. She had learned that at one of her other jobs and still does it. In fact, the were getting some remodeling done and she was having to do everything old school. She was writing everything down she had to do and was happily checking them off as she did them.
When we left we stopped to pick up a few groceries, a file box (for choir music), and a notebook. I started writing everything down I wanted to accomplish today. I didn’t get everything done but I did make a dent which made me feel great. This is going to be another one of my life changing moves. I hope I keep it up because I think it is the best idea I had heard in a long time. So Thank You, Jen!
For those of you that are falling my diet I just want to say I am still doing good. I still have not minded this Keto diet at all so far. We will see how I feel in a month, but I will keep you posted. We are going camping this weekend and I am making cauliflower salad, which is like potato salad but with cauliflower instead of potato. It is really good. We can eat that with our sausages cooked over the fire one night. The next night we will have some nice steaks. I haven’t decided about breakfast but I am sure it will be some kind of eggs, until I can figure out different things to eat.
I am now going to go and check off my blogging on my list!
I guess I forgot to post this one. Oh well, better late than never like they say.
I got a couple things done this morning on my list like make breakfast. While on that subject I have to say that I made some pancakes with flax meal, coconut flour, and a lot of eggs that turned out not to bad. I will make them again.
Then I had to go out to Heather and Dan’s to babysit. Dusty and David couldn’t do their paint job because it was raining, so they came with me. Dusty had to fix the two upstairs toilets. Grandpa David had to put together the girls new toy.
Becca really like it.
I was downstairs doing a little cleaning with the help of Kate.
The girls were so good today that I got a lot done.
That means I didn’t get much done on my checklist, but it was worth it to spend time with my two little girls.
