Camping For Easter

This was our maiden voyage with Merida, Winnebago Brave.  Well that is what we have named her.  She is just what we wanted.  Merida is just the right size for David, Harrison and me, 29 feet.

David drove me to rehab so we could head right over to the kids to head out when it was over.  I jumped out and got my rehab over with.  I went back to the motorhome and David informed me we were over heating.  We tried to find an auto parts store but nothing was close.  David opened the hood and we could see the hose that was cracked.  David and I reverted to our Alaska ways.  I told him I have duct tape in the RV and water.  David let it cool down before he could apply the duct tape.  We didn’t have a funnel to get the water into the radiator, so David went into the store to see if they had one.  He came out with a plastic cup.  I had a pitcher we could use to pour the water into from the 5 gallon jug.  We were then off to the kids house.  Dan had David go pick up the hose.  Then Dan replaced it.  Thank goodness that boy loves cranking a wrench.

We finally go off around 4:30pm on Thursday April 1.

Harriet

I had wanted to see this when I saw it advertised at the movie theater. Of course, we have not been able to go there. Now that Amazon is renting movies that should be in the theaters we have been watching some of them.

This is a story of Harriet Tubman. She is an American hero who escaped from slavery and then went on to save many other slaves. I couldn’t believe what a brave woman she was. It makes you wonder if you could ever be that brave.

Wish Me Luck

When I moved to England I knew about WWII, that is what we are taught in school. Then I started to meet people over there. I met a lot of older people who were either children, fought or worked in the shipyards during the war. After listening to their stories of bombs falling, going to shelters and carrying and using their gas masks WWII came a lot closer to home.

I have been reading all kinds of books and watch different shows. Right now I am watching Wish Me Luck. It is about women who were spies during WWII in France. It is so surprising what they did do. It tells of love and love lost. How they try not to get to attached to people but that isn’t easy. They lose friends and family, yet make new ones.

I have already watched the first and second seasons of the series. My husband is even hooked on it. It is nice when we can watch something like this together and talk about it after.

Our last season to watch. Not sure if there will ever be any more or not.

This series is free on Amazon Prime Video. I highly recommend this series if you are into WWII shows. It tells you of the danger these British people went through to save the French from the horrors of the Nazis.
