Garage Saleing with Twins

My daughter, Heather, and I have not really had any mother daughter time since I got back from my 5 week vacation.  We love our time together and have really missed it. I am usually available but Heather is always so busy. She is the CEO of the biggest manufacturer in Alaska. Yes there are not many manufacturers in Alaska but I am so proud of her. She has grown the company so much since she has been with them.  Anyway that is a whole other blog at some time but here is their web page if you are interested.

Back to the subject the one thing that Heather and I love to do is hit Value Village, a second-hand store, when they have a sale.  Well Saturday was 50% off everything in the store.  Well we had to hit that before we set off for the garage sales. We had given Daddy, Dan, the day off since he is the one that stays home with the girls. When we got there we each grabbed a baby and a basket.  Off we went to do some shopping. I do have to let you know that Heather is a real clothes hound. She has this huge walk in closet while poor Dan has a very small area to hang his clothes and it is almost full. It is so big that right now they have the babies’  bassinets in there and still room to walk around. Anyway back to the story. I didn’t want to look at any clothes because I am losing weight and wanted to wait until I could buy smaller clothes. I did need some small muffin tins to make fat bombs and David asked for me to look for him some new work clothes.  He had only been wearing the some paint clothes for years and I am not sure what color they are any more because of all the different color paint on them.  I wonder if we could start a new thing called paint dyed. I always look at the patterns. I found all that I wanted, so I started looking for little girls clothes.  Heather was wanting the next size up 3 to 6 months and 9 months. While I was doing this Heather was looking for clothes for her. I have seen her on the news here and see what she is wearing thinking I remember her buying that at Value Village. Well I was done and had to wait for mom to finish shopping.  You can see how  interested the girls were

Then we finally got out of there and off we went to garage sales. Moving from garage sale to garage sale Heather would pump. She has this great pump that runs on batteries. She puts in on under her bra and can just keep going. She can pump while driving. Of course, she looks like Dolly Parton with them on. She used to be so worried about things like that now it is like who cares. I think she has turned into a Mommy. We went to lunch and while we were there woke the girls up so they could eat and get their bottoms changed. We hit a sale that was $5 for a grocery bag of baby clothes. The girls got even more clothes. Grandma was looking for some toys and car seats for her house. I found a few little things. I used to have tons and car seats but since I have not had new babies in the family for 6 years I had got rid of it all.  Well it was getting to be late afternoon and we decided to call it a day.

Heather asked if I wanted to go to Target with her to help with the girls.  I told her fine. It is really funny to watch this short, little Mom try to get a car seat in the seat of a shopping cart. She almost has to lift it up over her head.  Anyway, Kate started to fuss so Heather tried something new.img_20180804_155626-382977610.jpg

She loved this and spent the whole time looking at her formula.  Heather tries to mostly breastfeed but she does have a hard time trying to pump while at work which is making her milk production drop some.

The girls are five and half months old but being 7 week early they are a little small for their age.  They don’t do things as fast as a normal baby because of being early but they are catching up fast.

Well we had a wonderful girls day out and Dad got to work in his garage on cars which he loves.  He did say he sure missed his girls.

Can’t wait for our next girls day!
