YORK, PA

I do really enjoy our new home in York.  There is so much history here.  Going downtown is always fun to look at the old buildings and see what is new.

I bet most people don’t realize that York was the first capitol of the United States.  If you would like to learn more about York check this out.

Anyway, back to my story.  We went to look around with our son, Cade, and granddaughter, Brodie.  We checked out some to the old buildings.

Our First Walk

Sunday was our official move in. The muscle that Heather hired showed up at 1 to unload the trailer. I know Dan and David were glad they didn’t have to do it all. The first thing I did was get our bed set up. It sure was nice to sleep in our own bed. Of course, we didn’t bring the box spring because it is old. We have a new one coming on Thursday.

The best thing that happened was that Jim and Linda made it on Sunday afternoon. It was nice to have the gang back together. It was sooner than Heather, David and I thought. We thought the earliest was going to be Monday.

Heather and I went to Aldi’s to by a few groceries for the house. Heather made bean and cheese burrito’s for dinner. I still am not eating much because of the withdraws.

Monday we all went shopping in IKEA which is in Baltimore. The kids bought some of the furniture they needed there. We had all sold a lot of our stuff to save on weight in the trailer. I guess we didn’t leave enough behind since half of our stuff is still in Edmonton, Canada

The First

The first can be many different things and we all have our first; like our first birthday. It was the twins first birthday on February 16th. The family had just come back from a vacation, so Grandma made a cake. It was also Dan’s birthday on February 13th so we celebrated Dad’s birthday too.

I found an old recipe for Angel Food Cake that I made. Everyone thought it was great. Of course, it was not Keto friendly but you have to have cheat sometimes. I also had strawberries and whip cream for it.

Halloween with Twins

I know that you probably get tired of looking at photos of my beautiful granddaughters but here I go again.  Oh yea, all my kids, well except the oldest, will be home for Christmas that means photos of more grandchildren so look out.

This was the girls first Halloween.  I had to go out to the kids house to babysit, so Heather decided I should stay to take the girls out for their first Halloween.  They are getting so big.

While babysitting the girls showed me how good they can make their bouncers go.

Before costumes Grandma decided to give them their first bath in the big tub.  They really enjoyed this.IMG_20181031_113416

Then it was time for me to get their costumes on Continue reading “Halloween with Twins”
