Backyard Granddaughters

Last weekend Heather wanted to see her brother, Jared, before he headed back home to Sterling, Alaska. We are still under lock down and social distancing. We know we can visit in our backyard with making sure to stay 6′ between us. It was hard to not touch the girls though.

Isn’t It Romantic

I know during this Covid-19 lock down we are all watching a lot of TV series and movies. Streaming is what keeps a lot of us going. David and I are just like the rest of you watching movies and TV series.

I have always liked Rebel Wilson so when I found this movie on Amazon Prime I had to watch it.

I was not disappointed with this movie. It really enjoyed this movie and had a good laugh. Natalie, Rebel Wilson, believes no one can love her or pay attention to her because of always being told by her mother that people like them don’t ever find love or get attention paid to them.

After being mugged and being knocked unconscious in the subway she dreams of what she thinks would be the perfect life. She finds it isn’t really what she would want. She finally finds out she needs to love herself. She finds self respect and love.

This is a good romantic comedy.

Let me know if you watch it and what you think.

February Birthdays

David and I are leaving February 12th to go to Seattle to take care of 3 of our elementary age granddaughters, so we had a early birthday celebration in York on Friday. Dan’s birthday is on the 13th, Bekka and Kate’s is on the 16th and mine is on the 26th. My daughter, Sarah, in Gig Harbor had a birthday on the 1st. I have plenty of birthdays that is for sure.

Of course Oma had to make some birthday hats.

What is that Buzzing?

Yesterday as my son and I were driving down the road in his work truck we started hearing this buzzing noise.  We are checking everything in the truck.  Nothing is buzzing there.  We check our phones and nothing.  My son says it sounds like it is coming from the back seat.  He has all his tools and things from different jobs back there.  He starts to look back there, I am driving just to let you know he did not look while he was driving.  Then he finds it. A bunch of old smoke detectors he took out of a house and replaced with new ones.  He starts pulling out the batteries.  Finally, after the 4th one he makes the noise stop.  He has opened the back window in his truck and it really smokes when a stop light, so the smoke came in the back window.  Who would have thought that would have made it go off.  We laughed all the way home.

It is always nice to enjoy a good laugh.
