Yes I am really running behind on my blogs. Here it is May and I am still blogging about February.
February is a big birthday month for our family. My youngest daughter, Sarah, was born on the first of the month starting the birthdays. Next is my son in law, Dan, on the 13th. We can’t forget the girls, Kate and Beka, who celebrated their 3rd birthday with us. Last of all on the 26th is my birthday.
Since the Mossberg’s were here visiting we had a party at Heather and Dan’s to celebrate all the February birthdays.
It just so happened that Santa rides his horse right down the street in front of our house. The twins were here to see him.
My son, Cade, and his daughter, Brodie came to visit us for Christmas. Brodie was hoping we had snow. Well she was lucky and got to build a snowman with the help of Daddy and her new friend, Maria.
How did you celebrate your Covid-19 Mother’s Day? Here in Pennsylvania we are still locked down, but my daughter, Heather, figured if she brought the girls over and let them run in the backyard it would be safe. It was really hard to see them but not touch them.
The girls made me some flowers and Heather, Sarah and Cade bought me a new laptop.
Now was the sad time because they had to leave. It was really hard not being able to hug them all good bye.
Jared showed up right after they left, so he still hasn’t been able to see his sister and her girls. Hopefully, Heather wants the weather to be nice on Saturday so she can see her brother before he goes back to Alaska.
Jared brought me the cutest birdhouse for Mother’s Day. I didn’t expect anything from him because he was doing all the work upstairs to make our master bedroom and library. He was supposed to level the floor but when he got here and looked there was a lot more he had to do first. Now the bathroom is plumbed and the whole thing is wired. He has now leveled the floor and laying the sub floor the next few days. I am so lucky to have such a great carpenter for a son.

We ordered in so I wouldn’t have to cook. That was the best present I could do.

David and I are leaving February 12th to go to Seattle to take care of 3 of our elementary age granddaughters, so we had a early birthday celebration in York on Friday. Dan’s birthday is on the 13th, Bekka and Kate’s is on the 16th and mine is on the 26th. My daughter, Sarah, in Gig Harbor had a birthday on the 1st. I have plenty of birthdays that is for sure.
I am so far behind in my blogging that I decided today is the day I need to catch up, so here we go starting with Christmas.
This is our granddaughter’s second Christmas they are 22 months old this year. They are so much more into it than last year. In fact, last year there was so much family gathered for their first Christmas they had to nap in between present opening.
Of course we have to start out with the decorating of the tree.
I had the most wonderful Christmas this year. Four of my five children were here for Christmas and 8 of my 12 grandchildren were home. Then Heather also had her in laws and her brother in law at her house.
We had a gathering at our house on Christmas eve. We opened a few presents then with my grandson, Rickie, because he was working on Christmas day. The rest of us got to open one package which was new pj’s that Grandma got for everyone.
Are you going crazy trying to get ready for Christmas? I know I am. This will be the first year since the kids all left home that we are all going to be together, well except for the oldest. That makes 4 children, 2 son in laws, 1 daughter in law, 2 grandsons, 6 granddaughters, my oldest daughter’s in laws and her brother in law and my oldest grandson’s girlfriend. I believe that comes to 19. What a wonderful Christmas we will have, but getting ready is the hard part. Continue reading “Christmas Craziness!”
