I turned 65 on February 26th. Yes I am now official old. I have medicare!
Cade, son, took me out for dinner. Along with David, husband, Rickie, Willow, Meadow and Brodie, grandchildren out for Italian. We didn’t have a big choice because there is a Mexican or Italian on the Key Peninsula. Cade chose Massimo.
We got there just at the perfect time. The sun was setting over the water.
If you are ever in Purdy, Washington you need to go check this place out. The food is great.
Then we all went home and Cade had stopped at The Cheesecake Factory and bought a cake. I guess he had never been there before and he was overwhelmed with all of cheesecake flavors. He came home with half salted caramel and half original. It was so good and enough for 2 nights of desserts.
To say the least I was so stuffed I couldn’t move but it was a wonderful birthday with my family. I love all of you and thanks for making my day special.
I have been taking pictures forever but for a while now I have gotten into it a lot more. I have been selling some of my photos on some stock sites. I have been taking online class to learn more about my camera and how to use Lightroom.
I have been waiting for this storm that was supposed to hit last night. Three inches of snow they said and I am still waiting 24 hours later. We still don’t have any snow and it is warming up. I can say though the sunset was beautiful.
These are all taken off my back deck.
It is 37 degrees, 5:30 at night and dark that is Alaska for you. It is so much warmer than I can remember in a long time.
Hoping it isn’t the last camping trip for the year. The weather has been so nice we are still camping. We are not taking the camper off of the truck yet. I will be gone for a couple of weeks but we are hoping that me may be able to get a couple more trips in before the snow when I get back. We are having an Indian Summer and really enjoying it.
We loaded up as soon as David and Dusty got home from work and off we went. Heather, Dan and the babies were meeting us at Knik River.
When we arrived at Knik River we found a place to camp. I was sitting watching David get the campfire ready to start and noticed all the beautiful colors in the mountains.
We enjoyed watching the planes fly over and could see the bridge that the kids had to cross to get to us.
