Our first camping trip took us to Cowans Gap. It was a great trip. The grandkids had fun and so did the adults. I am not sure if the kids wore out the parents or if it was the other way around. While the parents were busy with the kids, Grandpa and Oma, had a nice relaxing time walking around the lake, reading, and take photos.
We headed out as soon as the girls got home from school. They had Friday and Monday off, so we had a nice long weekend.
Sorry I have been gone for a while but I am still recovering from my thumb surgery. I have finally got my cast off and have been wearing a splint. I go to therapy twice a week but I should be all done by the end of this month. It is getting a lot better.
Anyway we have been spending a lot of time with the granddaughters. They love to play in our backyard which has turned into Oma’s Little Tyke Playground. They love their pool too. They really like it when Oma makes bubbles in the pool.
This is the last three day weekend before we have to take the camper off the truck for the year. We will probably get another camping trip in for sure but not sure after that.
We had a great time with the kids and granddaughters.
We were good and ate our Keto pancakes.
This is our last road trip before we all fly home to Anchorage, Alaska. Can’t wait to see where we go today.
Looks like we are headed down a long gravel road today.
We stopped for a photo at the river as we entered Fjallabak Nature Reserve.
Then we had a nice picnic lunch in Landmannalaugar Highlands.
Next we went to the hot pool which once again we did not get in because we didn’t bring our swimming suits. I think we might have got all squishy anyway.
It was a nice way to end our road trips in Iceland.
